Back to School

I made the decision that the best thing that I could do now was invest in my future through furthering my education.

As I had pretty much always worked in the cosmetics industry and enjoyed it, my decision was to add considerably to that knowledge by attending a course for Beauty Therapy. In my home town the local college didn't have any courses to offer so I had to look further a field.

I found a private school called The Dawn Cragg School of Beauty Therapy. Two problems emerged, the school was approximately 70 miles away and it was fee paying. I decided that I could probably cope with the daily commute, and Mandy was so encouraging, being in education herself she saw it as a good way forward for my future life. She promised to help me not only with Miles but any extra tuition that she could help me with. The anatomy and physiology manuals looked particularly daunting!

The money £2000 for the course was 'lent' to me, as part of the small settlement that was to be forth coming eventually from my marriage settlement.

So each morning early hours I set off to Retford. I was, as usual, eternally optomistic.

It was exhausting and sometimes I had to pull over to the side of the road and just grab 40 winks. Something that I didn't realize at the time was that I was driving through Lincolnshire's rich and abundant farming land, that was spewing out pollen the whole time. It is only on reflection that I see how this affected me in so many ways as anyone with allergies will be only to willing to tell you! However I ploughed on {excuse the pun}
