Sandie's Story

Inge was born on the 3rd of November 1972, and her death certificate says she died on Monday the 18th March 1985,but I always think she died two days before. It was a Saturday and she said she had a headache. How could you know that when your twelve year old daughter complains of a headache, that in a matter of minutes she will be gone. That is the reality, the events that followed, ringing for an ambulance, going to Grimsby hospital and being transferred to Hull, were all a blur, and until they actually say,'there is nothing that we can do'.

Reality steps in, our beautiful daughter had died.

The headache was in fact an aneurism and was so big, that it had destroyed two thirds of her brain.

When I thought about it, we had a card from her, saying 'thank you for EVERYTHING'- and that was the beginning of some extraordinary discoveries.

The other thing I found was a tape, SHE HAD RECORDED.

It was a story about people coming to see her in the night and asking her to go with them.

She obviously did, as she describes the experience of going towards a light to a place of peace and love, where everything was white and gold. She sounded so happy. During the tape she said,'Do you hear the bells? 'There must have been some knew arrivals'

I did not know about this until I took the tape to Julie Petulengro {who I had worked with in the 70s in a department store}

She said to me 'Have you never heard the saying - 'When a bell rings an Angel gets its wings'?'

I never had, but I will always remember it now.

Inge also went on to say that they had asked her to stay, but she told them she had to go back. They in turn told her that they would come for her at twelve o clock

I also found another tape of Inge singing a song ..........................
